"Giltia the Dark Knight, attack!" declared seventeen year old Yosuke Amagi loudly, as he pointed with his duel disk hand forward towards his opponent.Giltia the Dark Knight, clad in blue armor with green robes charged forward, racing towards his opponent: a red skinned beast looking warrior equipped with a chest piece and a small one handed axe. The red skinned beast howled as Giltia moved forward, but that howl did nothing to stop the knight from crashing his staff straight into the beast-warrior's face. The beast-warrior gave a snort, than disappeared into little specs of light.
"My battle ox!" exclaimed Yosuke Amagi's opponent, Shun, in outrage.
Shun's duel disk reported the kill, and the numbers that flashed brightly on the tiny lcd display lowered until it stopped at 2250. Yosuke examined his own duel disk. 300. He had been on a bad streak before, but now it seemed like things was going his way. He examined the field. Only two things were visible between him and his opponent Shun. His Giltia, the D. Knight (1850 attack points/1500 defense points), and a lone face down card that was on the field.
"It's not over yet!" exclaimed Yosuke. "I activate my face down card, De-Fusion!"
The face down duel monsters card flipped upward, revealing his quick-play magic card.
"De-Fusion allows me to split apart my fusion monster, and bring out the original monsters!" said Yosuke, who sounded genuinely surprised by his own luck. What seemed like a one-sided duel now appeared to be neck and neck between two good opponents.
Giltia the D. Knight became surrounded by a bright light, than seemed to shapeshift into something different, with another creature who seemingly jumped out of the knight's back.
"Meet Guardian of the Labyrinth (1000/1200) and Protector of the Throne (800/1500), who now get a chance to attack you directly!" said Yosuke, confidently and, to any outsider who might be watching, a little bit showy.
These two new monsters: a small, muscular warrior and an appearingly lazy female warrior both launched an attack, swords drawn, as they sliced Shun for a direct attack. His life points continued to fall until it stopped at 350. Shun seemed to curse under his breathe. Shun had thought it would be a simple win. Now he believed he wouldn't come out the victor.
"Now its close," stated Yosuke obviously. "And what that, I'll end my turn."
Any anxiety that Shun showed was gone, and now only a chuckle came out of Yosuke's opponent.
"What's so funny?" demanded Yosuke, who couldn't understand why Shun was laughing.
"Oh it's nothing. I just thought I had something to worry about." remarked Shun.
"What do you mean by that!" answered Yosuke. "In case you couldn't tell, its neck and neck. Theirs only a 50 point difference between our life points."
Shun nodded, his face smug. "True. But yours is only 300. And you left that in attack mode. With no face down cards to protect it." Shun pointed over to Protector of the Throne. "It only has 800 attack points. That means..."
Shun drew a card from his deck, smirked, than showed it to him. Lady Panther. With 1400 attack points. He slapped it onto his Duel Disk. As a dark red panther equipped with a shield and spear roared onto the field, Yosuke knew full well what was going to happen. His shoulders lowered. All he could do was shake his head, disappointed in himself.
"Next time you leave yourself open like that, make sure it's a kill!" said Shun. "Now attack Lady Panther (1400/1300), his Protector of the Throne (800/1500)."
The panther jumped high into the air, and impaled the defenseless female warrior, show shrieked, than disapeared into a bunch of pixels. Yosuke's duel disk deactivated the moment his life points hit zero. Shun's duel disk did the same soon after. He smirked.
"Pfft. I knew someone like you wasn't a real challenge. Cant believe I got myself all worked up over nothing." said Shun.
And with that, Shun left, leaving Yosuke alone in the middle of the field. Yosuke hated to lose. But he knew it was something that was bound to happen. Looking down, he shook his head. It's just something that has to happen he thought to himself.

Mal was walking back to her home after doing a dual with her friend who had finally gotten a duel disk. Of course, Mal had won that one, so what they decided to do a few hours was fix each others decks to see what kinks they can get out. "She did such a good job though." Malinda sighed hard, chuckling slightly, both where neck in neck with only 500 life points left. Lucky for her, Mal drew out her strongest card, even though she vowed to never play it against a friend, her opponent told her to do it, no not hold back against her.
Mal then held her hands behind her head and looked up the sky, walking silent for a brief moment. Suddenly a duel caught her attention and she stopped to watch, things seemed to be going almost one way until shun finally had to upper hand and defeated Yosuke. "So close." She muttered, "But that wasn't a good move in a way." Mal observed. She then looked around, noticing that he was alone and seemed pretty down. Well I do hate to see people alone... She thought, moving towards the boy. A year older... I think. Malinda thought, her white dress at the bottom slowly moved in the breeze, slightly revealing a pair of black shorts.
"Hello?" She said when she moved closer. "Don't take that duel too serious. The guy almost seemed like a jerk." Her blue eyes looked over to where the boy left, glaring in that direction. "Most people around here are like." Malinda sighed, "But you are ok, right?" Her eyes looked back up at him with concern.

Yosuke turned towards to meet the owner of the voice that spoke to him. Instinctively he changed his expression to a smile, as he examined her quickly, she seemed to be about his age. In fact he thought to himself. I think I've seen her in school. He knew it was quite a possibility, since when he always went to school he would simply go through the motions each day, and than simply leave at the end of the day as quickly as possible.
"Oh, yeah. He did seem that way, didn't he?" said Yosuke, agreeing with his new visitor. "Thanks for your concern though. I'm fine. Really."
He stared down at the deck that was still inserted into his duel disk. Reaching down, he pulled the deck out of the deck slot, stared at it for a moment, than placed it inside his front left pocket.
"Still though...a loss is a loss. And I do hate to lose," finished Yosuke, his smile seemingly a little thinner, as he stated his true feelings on the matter.
Why don't you shut the fuc-!
Yosuke shook his head, drowning out a voice inside his head. He knew how he had to act in front of people.

Malinda nodded slowly when he thanked her for her concern. She watched him put his deck away. She then chuckled at his words of losing. "We all hate losing." She sighed slowly, crossing her arms. "I've had my moments of loss. But I always try to learn from what mistakes I had made from that duel." Mal went silent for a moment, her eyes flickered down at the ground. "Live and learn right." Her eyes came back up Yosuke.
"Um... Sorry for not introducing myself." She laughed, smiling awkwardly. "I'm Malinda Wolfe, but you can also call me Mal." Mal might have seen around school, but it seems like he's there one moment and gone the next, she hasn't seen him in any of the clubs or hanging out with people... Well there did seem like a group... Se then mentally shook her head, thinking it was all in her mind. "So, if you need any help with your deck, I'm pretty good." Mal smiled big, "But it seems like you have a good deck so far." She said excitedly.

Yosuke continued smiling. "Mal huh? My name is Yosuke. Yosuke Amagi."
Yosuke looked awkward, thinking as if he had to do more to introduce himself. He held out his hand for a brief moment, before shaking his head and simply gave her a sheepish little wave.
He than said, "I appreciate the vote of confidence from you...but I'm afraid this deck I used is made up of second hand cards. I've only recently got into Duel Monsters. I'm still not too good at it."
He turned away, looking at Shun who was still in eyesight as he made his way out of the park.
No satisfaction.
He turned to face Mal. "You said you're good. How good are you?" he asked her. Realizing his tone was a little serious when he asked that, he broke out in a little laugh, wanting to lighten the mood. "Are you on the Duchess of Games level? Queen of Games, maybe?" he joked.

"It's nice to meet ya, Yosuke." Mal smiled big. She stopped and listened to him thanking for her confidence in her and how his deck was made up of second hand cards. "All it takes is time and a lot of practice." She crossed her arms and nodded slowly. Malinda then noticed how he looked towards Shun who was still walking away. Pride... Everyone's downfall... She thought to herself, looking back at Yosuke.
Her eyes then flickered down when he looked back. She then looked up, hearing the different tone in his voice, a ripple went through her stomach. "Uh, well..." She chuckled slightly with some nervousness at the shift. "Maybe like a princess?" Mal rubbed the back of her head, making sure not to mess up her beret. "There are still things I need to learn myself." She sighed, thinking that maybe she needed to get away from her group to get better experience, but then she is helping out her brother with the game and they are the best group for him to be with.

"Well..." started Yosuke slowly, wondering how he should phrase this. "...I know I just had one, but maybe we can help each other out."
He reached into his pocket, and pulled out the deck of Duel Monster cards that he had just used against his last opponent. He held his deck out right in front of him.
"The only way both of us are going to get any better is practice." Said Yosuke. He flashed her his increasingly common smile. "Come on. One little friendly game."

Mal looked up Yosuke and smiled lightly as he suggested that they dueled each other to help out the other person. She watched him reach into his pocket and get his deck out. She then thought about idea as he smiled at her. This would be good. She nodded slowly, taking off her backpack slowly. Malinda sat it down and took out her own deck, she looked at the card at the bottom, the foil shined in the light, her smile grew bigger.
"I would love to have a duel." She said, shuffling her deck. "I wouldn't mind testing it on someone else besides my friends and brother." Mal's eyes sparkled as her eyes flickered up from her deck up to him. "Let's have fun." She then lifted her head up high and smiled really big for him.

Yosuke nodded at what she said at the end, as he too began to shuffle his deck. "Fun?" He repeated, and he gave a little chuckle. "That's all I was thinking about." He took his newly shuffled deck, and inserted it into his duel disk, which slowly hummed to life. The duel dusk looked like worn, as it was one of the first generation duel disk models for Battle City, however it too seemed to sing at the anticipation of a duel. "Battle City rules." Announced Yosuke as he began to draw cards from his deck, which caused him to remember his first duel monsters game. His first opponent. His first- That's enough remembrance of the past thought Yosuke. I have an opponent now to deal with. He examined her smile, as he to wore a look of excitement for the game. He was beginning to become accustomed to wearing emotions. When he finished drawing his cards, he said with a grin. "And since I chose that, I think it's only fair that you go first, Princess of Games." ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Yosuke Amagi Life Points:4000 Cards in hand: 5 Cards in Deck: 35 *Field: **Monsters: **Spell/Trap: *Graveyard:

Mal nodded happily, she took out her duel disk, just the standard. She locked it on her left arm, it wasn't as heavy when she first started out with it, but there were some heavy regreats of defeat that, like most, she carried. "Battle City rules." Mal hear him say, she nodded, pulling out five cards, waiting to see who would go first. Malinda noticed that he was getting excited about this duel. "And since I chose that, I think it's only fair that you go first, Princess of Games."
That made her blush slightly. "Wel... Well thank you." She chuckled, rubbing the back of her head. Mal sighed hard and pulled out another card. Mal scanned her deck and nodded slowly. A good hand put not good enough. "Okay, I'll start by putting a monster face down in defense mode." She watched as a card face down appeared on the field. "Next, I'll put a card and activate Solemn Wishes." Two cards appeared once more on down and other showing a woman running in the rain with a happy smile. "This card always me to get an extra 500 Life Points for every card or cards that I draw." Mal announced. "And this is were I end my turn." She smirked at Yosuke, excited to see his deck. (OOC: I had 40 cards in my deck, so now it's down to 34 =/ )

Not bad he thought to himself, as he finished watching Mal end her turn. He drew his card, and gave a small chuckle. I doubt I could beat her with this deck...but maybe I'll try and give her a little fight. Let's see how well she does though.
"I'll summon the Beautiful Headhuntress (1600/800) in attack mode." stated Yosuke, as he threw the card he just picked up onto his duel disk.
A stoic women clad in blue, wielding a giant cleaver appeared in front of Yosuke.
"Headhuntress, attack her face down monster." commanded Yosuke, who pointed at the face down duel monster card that was in front of Mal.
The Beautiful Headhuntress launched herself forward, bringing her giant sword over her head, ready to strike.

Mal waited patiently, watching him draw his card. He then summoned his Beautiful Headhuntress in attack mode. Oh boy... She thought as the monster attacked her face down card. It was Gray Wing (1300/700), it scream out as it started to disappear. "That was a good move." She complimented with a smile. "I would've loved to block the attack, but I don't have anything." Mal shrugged nonchalant placing her card into the graveyard.

The first move is never important thought Youske.
"Thanks," was all he actually said. "I'll end my turn with a card face down."
A large holographic duel monster card appeared behind his headhuntress. Yosuke glanced at the active trap card on the field: Solemn Wishes. What an annoying card.
"Show me what you got Mal," said Yosuke, motioning for her to take her turn. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mal stared at the face down card. Well that's annoying... She thought to herself as she drew her card, her Life Points went up from 4000 to 4500. And now it's not anymore. She smirked. "First I summon Spirit Ryu." A blue purple like dragon appeared on field, floating above the ground. "And its special ability activates, since I have a dragon in a graveyard the attack and defense goes up by 1000 (1000/1000---> 2000/2000)." It looked like a dragon appeared much stronger than it did before. "Next, I activate Stamping Destruction!" the card revealed itself, "This allows me to destroy one spell or trap card." She pointed to his face down card, "Not only that but the user of that card, which is you, loses 500 Life points." Her smirk grew.
"Now, I also send Spirit Ryu to attack your Headhuntress." She sighed, feeling the adrinelean rush going through her. It excited her that this was something that wasn't predictable yet it also scared her that she was going into the unknown. But she waited to see his reaction before she ended her turn, checking to see if she could use any of the cards in her hand.

Yosuke'd hands went instinctively to his duel disk, however he thought about it, than decided let his hands fall down to the side, as he watched his face down card and his monster get destroyed in a single turn. "Damn," muttered Yosuke loud enough for his opponent to hear. Speaking a little louder he said, "I'm going to guess yours is a dragon deck, huh?" -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Yosuke Amagi Life Points: 3100 Cards in hand: 4 Cards in Deck: 34 *Field: **Monsters: **Spell/Trap: *Graveyard: Beautiful Headhuntress, Ready for Intercepting
Malinda Wolf Life Points: 4500 Cards in hand: 2 Cards in Deck: 33 *Field: **Monsters: Spirit Ryu (1000/1000) in attack mode
[OC: Oh. Btw. For spirit Ryu, you have to discard a dragon the turn you want to use the effect. Not simply have a dragon in the graveyard. I just put you discarded a random dragon card. **Spell/Trap: Solemn Wishes *Graveyard: Gray Wing, [Random Dragon card], Stamping Destruction
