"Thank you Doctor..."
Bowing her head with a smile, Serenity then made her way out into the hallway. Hanging tightly go her school bag, the young girl looked around curiously into some of the rooms that she passed on her way to the waiting room. This would be her third visit this year, each time giving the same results. She had a vision back and it show no sign of declining in anyway. Of course, this news perfectly fine for her and just brought an even bigger smile than the one that was usually planted across her face.
Still....I wonder why mom hasn't called yet? I thought she was supposed to come and get me today?
Blinking as her smile faded to a blank expression, the teen entered the lobby and looked around to see if she could spot her mother's familiar face. Though from all appearances, she wasn't there.
"I hope nothing happened..."
Moving outside for a moment, making sure to button her jacket to avoid the cold wind, Serenity pulled out her pink cellphone from her pocket and gently began to press a selective set of numbers upon its lower panel.

Joey rolled in his bad. There was something I was suppose to do... He then looked at the time and sat up. "Eh... I better check to my phone." He mumbled, brushing his puffy, blond hair then picking his phone up. His dark eyes then widened up to see the message his mom gave him a few days ago. "That's right!" He ran out of the apartment he shared with his father and ran towards the hospital.
"I must've been in the same situation as before... I just know it." He puffed out, missing and dodging people as he ran towards the hospital. Joey thought back to the Battle City tournement and how he had missed out on helping his sister out so much. Thinking about that made his stomach go into a knot, feeling bad about letting that happen.
He then slowed down and started to catch his breath when he was close to the hospital. Joey then checked his watch, only late as ever. He only hoped Serenity would forgive him... A cool breeze went through his blond hair as he walked up to front of the hospital to see his sister, beautiful as ever. He loved her more than anything and would do anything for his younger sister.
"Hey there sis... I was suppose to come and get ya." He chuckled nervously, "Sorry I'm late." He said, rubbing the back of his head.

Just as the girl was placing the phone against her left ear, she blinked when she spotted the familiar hair style and clothing that only her brother could pull off. Smiling as she placed the phone back into her pocket, Serenity giggled softly as she watched her older sibling stop for a breath before composing himself in his entrance towards the building. Upon hearing his apology, the girl shook her head as she just continued to smile.
"Its ok Joey...I'm just happy you came and got me. The drops the doctor put in my eyes kinda makes it hard to see..."
It was true, slowly her vision was blurring in and out of focus. It was due to the process in which they cleansed her eyes before giving her a regular eye exam. It was always a pain when they did that, but she never complained since it was only temporary. Her moment of blindness was nothing compared to when she considered the possibilities of what could have been.
Clinging her arms around that of her older brothers, she looked up at him as she tilted her head to the side.
"So you ready to go? Or do you still need to catch your breath from your run?"

"Well, I'm here ta help you." He smiled softly to his sister. Of course he didn't really know the pains his own sister went through, all he knew he could do was to be by her side... Unless something else did come up from him. Joey then looked down to see his sister clinging to his arm just like she did in the past. It really warmed him to see Serenity like that, at least they still cared for each other, even though their parents were separated.
Joey then chuckled. "I'm pretty sure I caught my breath. I'm great Joey Wheeler anyway, I never lose my breath!" If someone from his past had come and seen him, they would've ran away knowing that statement to be true, Joey's past was one of toughness and fighting.

The young girl laughed lightly and nodded with a smile. Serenity knew how tough her brother was, even though he often over did it. But it was just the way Joey was, the unmovable tough guy. Of course, there were other sides to him as well, and all of his friends knew that, herself included.
"So what do you have planned for today?"
(Sorry for the short post)
